This study day brings together leading specialists to explore Shakespeare’s cultural presence in Europe and the Americas.

No writer’s work has been translated, performed and transformed by as many cultures across the world as Shakespeare’s. Themes include Shakespeare’s European source material; postcolonial adaptations; Shakespeare and politics, and Shakespeare and performance.
